WATER FALLS

List of Water Falls in Snohomish County:

  • Bridal Veil Falls MAP
    Visible from HWY 2, East of Index

  • Sunset Falls MAP
    A half mile past Index, follow gravel road (Sunset Falls Fishway). At the bridge, turn right. Short hike to falls.

  • Canyon Falls MAP
    A half mile past Index, follow gravel road (Sunset Falls Fishway). At the bridge, turn left. Short hike to falls.

  • Eagle Falls MAP
    40-foot waterfall on the South Fork of the Skykomish River. Park at the turnout near mile marker 39 on US Hwy 2. Take the path just east of the marker.

  • Bear Creek Falls MAP
    Take the North Fork Skykomish Road #63 11.9 miles northeast of Index. A short steep path leads to the falls.

  • Explorer Falls MAP
    From Lake Roesiger, take Monroe Camp Rd. east for 3.5 miles. Park at a gravel pit on the right side and hike upstream a few hundred feet to view 70-foot falls.

  • Wallace Falls MAP
    Popular destination inside Wallace Falls State Park. View lower falls midway on a gorgeous 7 mile loop trail.

  • Olney Falls MAP


  • Granite Falls MAP
    Just outside of the town of Granite Falls, park on the left for a short walk to the falls and fish ladder. Wheelchair accessible.

  • First Falls MAP
    About a mile past the Verlot Ranger Station, cross the large steel bridge and turn right. Turn right again and view 40 foot falls about a half mile ahead.

  • Heather Creek Falls MAP
    About a mile past the Verlot Ranger Station, turn right just past the large steel bridge. Turn right again. About a mile ahead is a small pond with falls along the western edge.

  • Triple Creek Falls MAP
    Another mile past Heather Falls is Triple Creek Falls at the end of the road. Hike about 200 feet to view the lower falls, 15-25 feet high. A moderate climb (no trail) leads to upper falls.

  • Twenty-two Falls MAP
    Actually a series of falls along a beautiful trail through preserved Old Growth forest. Park on the right, about 1 mile past large steel brige on Hwy 92.

  • Ryan Falls MAP
    About 7 miles northeast of Arlington on SR 530. 75 foot falls are on privete property new mile marker 28.

  • Twin Falls MAP
    From SR 92, take Fire Road 4020 to Bald Mountain trail and Ashland Lakes. Twin Falls (125 and 400 feet) are way in, about 1.5 miles past lower Ashland Lake.

  • Feature Show (Boulder) Falls MAP
    From SR 530, turn right at the French Creek campground sign. Drive a few miles on fire road to a parking area. Hike an easy mile or so to the bottom of a beautiful 80 foot drop. On the way back, listen for another falls downstream (not visible).

  • Asbestos Creek Falls MAP
    About 2.5 miles south of Darrington, turn right at Clear Creek Rd. (FR 2060). Another 2.5 miles to Asbestos Creek. Short hike upstream to view the falls.

  • North Fork Falls MAP
    15.5 miles south of Darrington, turn left on North Fork Rd (FR 49). About a mile to Trail #6660 and a short hike to the top of the 80 foot falls.
